the fourth

Today I didn't really feel like celebrating.  But, my youngest was the only one home with me, and it just didn't seem right to make him sit inside on such a gorgeous day, so out we went...

to see the boats on Commencement Bay
waiting for the fireworks show.

We joined the crowd and walked around Tacoma's
Freedom Fair along the water in Old Town

and enjoyed an air show
(the fighter jet was my favorite!)

and why not a mini car show, too?

and can't forget the Rolling Stones cover band!  Coolio!

We enjoyed the summer landscaping
gracing the antique homes in Old Town
  - Lisa says it is Mallow

then it was down to Titlow Beach for a different view;
just lovely

ah yes, sunshine & water...
just what this weary soul needed.

skippin' stones,
as far as east is from the west...

Looks like you and Tay had a great time!! Much needed, I'm sure and I have no doubt that Tay loved having Mom to himself hanging out. ;-) Pretty pics, of course!!
