“Yes, you can lose somebody overnight,
yes, your whole life can be turned upside down.
yes, your whole life can be turned upside down.
Life is short. It can come and go like a feather in the wind.”
~Shania Twain
Sand Dunes
by Robert Frost
Sea waves are green and wet,
But up from where they die,
Rise others vaster yet,
And those are brown and dry.
They are the sea made land
To come at the fisher town,
And bury in solid sand
The men she could not drown.
She may know cove and cape,
But she does not know mankind
If by any change of shape,
She hopes to cut off mind.
Men left her a ship to sink:
They can leave her a hut as well;
And be but more free to think
For the one more cast-off shell.
“We can never have enough of nature.
We must be refreshed by the sight of inexhaustible vigor,
vast and titanic features, the sea-coast with its wrecks,
the wilderness with its living and its decaying trees,
the thunder-cloud, and the rain.”
~Henry David Thoreau
“As selfishness and complaint pervert and cloud the mind,
so love with its joy clears and sharpens the vision”
~Helen Keller

Your SNAPS page reminds me that when I get caught up in the turmoil in my head I miss seeing so much; and if I focus on what is around me, the turmoil in my head recedes.
Love these shots, my friend! The quotes are, once again, most apt...
Happy to hear that the day was relaxing -- and to see that blue peeking out between the clouds!
Frost has been a favorite since my childhood, but I don't remember this one. He's quite the image-fashioner...love it.
