Day 243/365

First day without classes, homework, reading assignments, or (frankly) stress.
So, what did we do? Go take pictures, of course!!
This time we headed to the antique district in downtown Tacoma.

how about some PLU shoes?? Wow!

I have really loved taking pics of the faces that occupy the antique stores...
who are they and what were they like?
What was their world like?
I am fascinated with their eyes...

what about this cutie?

recognize this?

haha! I think I'm hungry!

Seeking Sanity in Snohomish

A few photographer's notes:
I have been fascinated with patterns, faces (especially eyes), and the macro lens. Antique stores are an endless fascination to me in that they are a direct and unflinching reflection of our cultural ideals and priorities. Nothing captures a culture better than their forgotten stuff.

hey there!

good thing this wasn't for sale, as it might have come home with us...

yours truly

the famous burlap bag...

items created for men are always so markedly different than that made for women - this was a "tie-tender"
